The App

Download the latest version of the app for Android. The iOS version will come later. To install it, you'll have to agree to install from Unknown sources. Typically your phone will bring you into the settings to do this. Don't be scared... it'll be okay!

You can see all the strings throughout the app here. If you have suggestions for better phrase translation, please let me know at apps@alkalaam.net or via the WhatsApp group if you've been invited.

Notice the little  عربى  on the top-right. If you click that, you can view the Greek and Hebrew side-by-side (or top-and-bottom, depending on the orientation of the phone).

Audio Files

When the user clicks the speaker icon at the top of the app, it will do this:

  1. Open up an audio player at the bottom
  2. If the audio files are found in a folder called sharif-audio on local storage or a microSD card in the phone, they will play locally.
  3. If they aren't found there, the app will ask the user to download the chapter, then play it.

If you want to distribute the audio on a microSD card, you can get it in the 10 convenient zip files in the table below. Be sure to unzip them before putting them in the microSD card's sharif-audio folder. Again, if you need help, send an e-mail or WhatsApp as instructed above.
